When Heaven Fights For You: Living in the Season of Harvest
There is a moment in every believer's life when the weight of waiting becomes almost unbearable. You have planted. You have prayed. You have been faithful in the small things, the unseen things, the things that nobody applauded or acknowledged. And yet the harvest has not come. Not yet. But what if that "not yet" is about to become "right now"?
That is the word burning through the hearts of believers right now. We are standing at the edge of something. A surge. A shift. A season where the pace of God's movement is about to accelerate so rapidly that, as Amos 9:13 describes it, one blessing will be fast on the heels of another, and everywhere you look, there will be blessings pouring like wine off the mountains and hills. Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim.
That is not hype. That is prophecy. And it is for the church.
The Economy That Never Crashes
The world operates on a system that is fragile, volatile, and subject to collapse. But the people of God operate inside a different economy entirely. It is an economy that runs on seed, time, and harvest. It is governed not by Wall Street or Washington, but by the Word of God.
The principle is ancient and unshakeable. As described in Luke 6:38, when you give, it comes back to you in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. As 2 Corinthians 9:6 reminds us, those who sow sparingly will reap sparingly, and those who sow bountifully will reap bountifully. And Philippians 4:19 stands as a bedrock promise that God will supply every single need according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
This is the church's inheritance. Not because we deserve it, but because we belong to the One who owns it all. The Psalmist David, who had seen more than his share of hardship, said it plainly in Psalm 37:25 — in all his years, he had never once seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread. That is a testimony built on a lifetime of watching God come through.
So while the world experiences turmoil, the church can stand firm. We are in the world, but we are not of it. We are citizens of a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
You Are Part of the Harvest
Here is something worth sitting with. God is dealing with hearts right now. He is drawing people. He is working in the lives of men and women who have not yet surrendered, who are scrolling through their phones late at night, who are watching services online, and who are quietly weeping because something inside them knows there is more.
There is a story that illustrates this beautifully. A young man who had drifted far from God began to feel the pull of the Holy Spirit. Before he ever made a public declaration, God had already shown someone close to him, through a dream, that He was at work in that young man's heart. That is the kind of God we serve. He does not wait for people to clean themselves up before He starts pursuing them. He goes after them in their mess, in their wandering, in their searching.
And then that Friday, the young man walked into work and told everyone that he had given his life to Jesus.
This is what the harvest looks like. It does not always come through grand crusades or elaborate programs. Sometimes it comes through a dream. A random encounter in a parking lot. A kind word. A prayer cloth left on a sick person's chest. The anointing of God is tangible and transferable. Acts 19 tells us that God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so remarkable that even pieces of cloth that had touched him were carried to the sick, and diseases left and evil spirits departed. The woman in the Gospels who had suffered with a hemorrhage for twelve years pressed through a crowd, reached out, and grabbed the hem of Jesus' garment — and the moment she touched it, the bleeding stopped. Instantly. Completely.
The power of God has not diminished. It is still moving. It is still healing. It is still setting people free.
Everybody Has a Part to Play
One of the most liberating truths in scripture is found in 1 Corinthians 3, where Paul makes clear that some plant, some water, but it is God who gives the increase. No role in the kingdom is more important than another. The one who runs the camera so that someone watching from home can hear the gospel is doing something just as vital as the one standing behind the pulpit. The one teaching children in a back room is doing something just as eternal as the one leading worship on a stage.
What matters is not the size of the role. What matters is the faithfulness with which you play it. Because at the end of the day, the glory belongs to the One who gives the increase. That is Jesus. Always Jesus.
Prepare for What Is Coming
The word that keeps surfacing is prepare. Not because something frightening is coming, but because something glorious is. The harvest does not wait for the unprepared. When a garden comes into full bloom all at once, you need help bringing it in before it spoils. The church is being called right now to make room, spiritually, physically, and emotionally, for the people God is about to send through the doors.
Roots have been growing deep. Foundations have been laid. And what has been planted in the ground in faithfulness and prayer and sacrifice is about to break through the surface in a way that the world will not be able to ignore.
The darkness trembles at the name of Jesus. Not because of us, but because of Him. And He has chosen to work through His church, through ordinary people who said yes, who showed up, who gave, who prayed, and who refused to quit.
